Irish Dance Spectacular Comes In Canton Palace
“Rhythm In The Night: The Irish Dance Spectacular,” the story of an evil sorceresses, a captive heroic leader and the village that’s trying to save him all through the power of Irish dance, is being presented tonight, March 17, at the Canton Palace Theatre.
The two-act performance takes place during the dark ages in a land ruled by an evil sorceress, whose spell has trapped the legendary hero Balor under her control to command her legion of henchmen. In a final attempt to rescue the leader, the people have called upon Balor’s companion Aisling and his younger brother Solas to rescue him.
The troupe is comprised of some of the world’s accomplished and talented Irish dancers and work to turn a traditional art form into an Irish dance spectacular that has been described as an experience for the entire family.
The group is lead by former Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance lead dancer Justin Boros, while the music from composers and twins Andrew and Jared DePolo, who are North East Ohio natives and worked to develop a full-bodied orchestra sound to accompany the thunderous claps of hard Irish dance shoes.
The performance is tonight, March 17 at 7:30. Tickets range in price from $30 to $45, and a VIP package, which includes early entry into the theatre, a free copy of the soundtrack signed by the cast, a post-show meet and greet with the cast, is available for $60.
