Tickets ($8 each) can be purchased at the door, over the phone at (234) 410-3475, or online at: http://avenuearts.org/ This performance will be held at The Kathleen Howland Theatre, 324 Cleveland Avenue NW, Canton, Ohio. The theatre is part of Avenue Arts Marketplace and Theatre. For information of future performances, please visit the website: https://www.facebook.com/ScaredScriptlessImprov This particular improv performance will showcase the talents of Scriptless regulars Justin Edenhofer, Tim Carmany, Ryan Lynn, David Sponhour, Moriah Roberts, and John-Michael Roberts. These unscripted shows depend on audience suggestions. Scared Scriptless promises new games and new takes on classic fan favorites. About Scared Scriptless: Scared Scriptless has been performing since May 2006. In addition to their many Canton-area appearances (Akron Civic Theatre, First Friday, the Player’s Guild Theatre, the Kathleen Howland Theatre, The Auricle, First Row Centre for the Arts, Lions Lincoln Theatre), they have taught several workshops and classes to groups such as Stark County Job and Family Services, Leadership Stark County, Leadership Tuscarawas County, Dover Middle and High Schools, GlenOak High School drama groups. They have raised thousands of dollars for local non-profit organizations, including the Massillon Museum, the Walsh University Museum Studies Program, the Player’s Guild Theatre of Canton, and the historic Lions Lincoln Theatre in Massillon. Scared Scriptless began with an auditioned group of 14 members, which dwindled to a core group of 5 members who would perform with the group for many years after. In 2011 it became apparent that new members and new ideas were needed. Auditions yielded 4 new members of the group, who would debut in Scriptless’ first Fisticuffs battle royale performance. In 2015 they began adding music as a regular performance piece, creating songs from audience suggestions. Scared Scriptless led many workshops and even held “I’m Scared Too” open improv jams. They are also well-known from their days at Canton First Friday as the strange people helping folks cross the street safely and hilariously. Throughout the years many games and members have come and gone but the group still retains that spark of humor, provided by the audience’s suggestions. Thursday Night Live!

Thursday Night Live!

The Canton Brewing Company continues to dazzle and amaze. Their restaurant is open, where you can enjoy exciting new dishes while in an gorgeous, airy spot with rich hardwood surrounding. The brewery is open for tours where you can marvel at what it actually takes to brew some seriously great local beer. The Speakeasy is available for you to sneak in for a beer or two. In case you haven’t heard—-The Canton Brewing Company has been bringing you the ultimate end of summer concert series—-Thursday Night Live in the lot near the Canton Brewing Company, from 7-10. Grab a beer of your liking and stroll over for some killer local bands as the sun sets over your fair city. This week wraps up the Thursday Night Live, a free concert series brought to you entirely by Canton Brewing Company. When I say it is ENTIRELY covered by Canton Brewing—that’s what I mean. David Beule is the owner of the brewery, and he wanted to give a little back to the community and get some more people downtown. Beule bought the lumber, built a stage and booked some bands and will cover the operating costs for the entire ten week series. There will be beer and food available for purchase from Canton Brewing Company, but that isn’t the driving force behind Beule’s undertaking. He’d much rather see downtown Canton swimming with smiling faces than sell a few extra pizzas. Yes, refreshments are available for purchase from downtown venues, including those artisan pizzas from Canton Brewing, but you’re not obligated. If you want to bring a picnic basket and a blanket—-you can! Folding chairs are also an option. There are no gates so get there as early as you like, maybe drop into Canton Brewing for a happy hour cocktail before you take your beer to go. Don’t worry, you didn’t miss all the fun! You will be able to see Jeff Poulos Blues Revue in full glory on an impressive 32 by 24 foot stage on Market...
